We are embarking on a strategic initiative focused on data we seek an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a proficient background in Microsoft Azure data technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will facilitate the shaping and delivery of the future of data-driven insights and innovations in our organization.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead technical aspects of modernizing data management and storage solutions, including migration of legacy data sources to cloud-based platforms
  • Design and implement robust master data frameworks and data integration pipelines
  • Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Databases)
  • Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect, the other architects in Group IT, and other key project stakeholders to ensure alignment of data strategies with business objectives
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and optimise performance bottlenecks within the data infrastructure
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to other team members where needed
  • Contribute to the establishment of data governance and data quality best practices

On top of that, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields (equivalent practical experience maybe noted instead)
  • At least 5 years of background as a Data Engineer, particularly with a focus on Microsoft Azure data engineering solutions
  • Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Databricks
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and version control (Azure DevOps, Git)
  • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with data governance, master data management (MDM), and metadata management
  • Skilled in problem-solving, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Effective communication skills in English and a positive and caring attitude towards others are an important qualities for the role

Salary for this position starts from 4500 to 6880 EUR before taxes. We believe in your professional capability, therefore the final offer will be based on your skills and experience.
