The project Decathlon Baltics, composed of HQ in Lithuania, branch in Latvia and in Estonia. Decathlon stores are counted to 5 physical stores : 3 in Lithuania, 1 in Riga, and 1 in Tallinn. We also offer e-commerce in all Baltic countries.
Responsibilities and associated activities:
Ensure reliable accounting
- Record, control and report transactions in the area of responsibility.
- Ensure communication, documentation and risk mitigating actions to support internal and external audit in the area of responsibility.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations of allocated accounts, explain variations and ensure timely resolution and clean up of overdue items.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and financial statements validation.
- Take on and oversee special accounting topics according to HGB and/or IFRS .
- Ensure good financial reporting based on a very good understanding of data (master data).
- Appropriate, apply and follow up the group and local accounting and compliance norms.
Improve the processes
- Actively design internal processes in the area of responsibility, document and communicate to the and stakeholders.
- Contribute to constant improvement of the processes in the area of responsibility (efficiency automation).
Be an accounting value partner
- Provide the necessary alerts for business risks (fraud, compliance) and associated mitigating controls.
- Consult, bring transparency to business stakeholders on financial KPIs, figures and processes (finance data oriented).
Who are you:
- You are a sports enthusiast.
- Good command of English in writing and speaking.
- Accounting knowledge, IFRS knowledge, Local GAAP knowledge, ERP (One Stream, Eone…).
- Good skill in Excel/Spreadsheet.
- Strong in problem solving skills and critical thinking.
- Strong attention to details and accuracy.
- To be organized and meticulous.
- Curious and willing to learn.
- Good skill to manage deadlines and work within a multi-cultural environment.

- Competitive salary based on the market with yearly review based on performance. Salary range is 1900 -2400 euros/mon. gross, the final offer will be based on the candidate's experience.
